Skidmore

Skidmore College was looking to upgrade their inefficient lighting system in their dorms in order to save on energy cost. Integra LED connected with Skidmore and completed a complimentary audit to assist them in understanding their current lighting system and how LEDs can help improve their efficiency. After reviewing the proposal, Skidmore moved forward on upgrading 3 dorms on their campus in Saratoga Springs, NY. Integra’s installation team completed the project during the summer break as to not disrupt the student’s schedule.  One unique aspect of the lighting upgrade at Skidmore was the installation of Vital Vio’s White Light Disinfection Technology. These fixtures were installed in the dorm showers which kills bacteria and other harmful organisms using disinfecting LED’s to help keep spaces clean that commonly are exposed to bacteria.  Integra LED secured $11,610 in incentive funds from their local utility company to help reduce the overall project cost for the college. Within the first year of installation, Skidmore will see an estimated reduction in lighting cost of $20,433 after upgrading to LED lighting. Download Case Study Contact Integra

Waters Edge is the premier homeowner’s association on Saratoga Lake that offers many amenities to the owners including a private beach, marina, pool area, and tennis courts! The association was aware of the savings available by upgrading to LED and the many benefits LED lighting could offer to their owners. They contacted the most trusted energy consultant in the area, Integra LED, who started the process by completing a complimentary energy audit of their facility. Integra LED generated a detailed proposal that included valuable insights showing how LED lighting could save Waters Edge over $4,500 annually on their lighting cost. Furthermore, Integra LED completed all the incentive paperwork with their local utility company which resulted in a total project cost reduction of 48%.  After reviewing the proposal, the board of directors approved the project and Waters Edge quickly moved forward due to the impressive energy savings they would receive and the cost reduction Integra LED was able to secure. Integra’s installation team worked during off-hours as to not disrupt the activities at the association. The project was completed quickly, and Waters Edge began seeing savings on their first utility bill after the installation of LED lighting.  Furthermore, many owners have commented how much better the lighting looks and they feel safer walking through the parking lot at night.  One owner stated how much better the external tennis court and indoor pool lighting looks since the conversion.  Download Case Study Contact Integra

Saratoga Regional YMCA

The Saratoga Regional YMCA is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization governed by a local board of directors. The SRY prides itself on being more than a gym, it’s a community of over 27,000 members who are committed to strengthening the community and making an impact. One of the three charitable pillars of the YMCA is to be “for social responsibility” which perfectly aligned with the SRY’s decision to upgrade to LED lighting. Integra LED connected with the SRY to perform a full LED lighting upgrade of their Saratoga Springs branch.  The first step was completing a complementary lighting assessment. This assessment enables our engineers to get a better idea of the current lighting system, so we can create the best solution for that specific facility. Integra LED works with several manufacturers to ensure the product we install is of high-quality while being affordable for our customers. After completing the assessment, we developed a custom lighting solution and began navigating the incentive application process. Utility companies offer businesses incentives on lighting upgrades to make the projects extremely affordable, Integra LED manages this entire process for our customers. From here, Integra presented the SRY a short yet detailed proposal that highlighted the financials of the project as well as the benefits they would receive.  By upgrading to LED, they reduced their lighting energy consumption by 64% which substantially reduces their environmental impact while achieving monetary savings. Furthermore, Integra’s operations team reduce the total project cost by 21% through incentives they secured for the SRY. This reduced the total cost enough to create a 3.2-year payback making the project very financially sound. Over the course of 10 years, the SRY is expected to save over $200,000 purely on lighting costs after upgrading to LED with Integra LED. These are funds that can be reinvested into the community by the SRY to create an even larger impact and change more lives. After the installation was completed, membership noted that the space felt much cleaner and the lighting was brighter compared to the previous lighting system thereby eliminating dark areas in the gym. Ace Gymnastics

Ace Gymnastics is a custom-designed gymnastics facility located in Albany, NY. They offer a variety of classes in their state-of-the-art facility fitted with brand new regulation junior Olympic gymnastics equipment. Furthermore, they have a dedicated area for pre-school classes and a party room. Alec Chatterton, the owner, and coach has a lifelong involvement with gymnastics including 15 years of competing at the junior Olympic and collegiate levels.  Integra LED kicked off the project by completing a complimentary lighting assessment of the facility. This assessment enables Integra’s team to evaluate the current lighting system and develop a custom solution utilizing modern LED lighting. Additionally, Integra’s operations team worked directly with Ace Gymnastics’ utility company to secure incentives based on the proposed energy-saving solution. Each incentive application is different depending on multiple variables but on average, our customers see a 35% reduction in total project cost from incentives.  Ace Gymnastics will see savings of $35,800 over the next 10 years on their utility bill. A large portion of these savings can be attributed to the replacement of their 400W metal halides with 135W LED high bays. Integra replaced 16 in total which will save Ace over 5,000 Watts. High bays are a great option for any large facility that has high ceilings and requires a high light output. As you can see in the comparison below, the upgrade greatly improved the quality of light in the space as well. As shown in the before and after photo, the fixtures are placed quite high in the ceiling. Replacing HID lamps is a costly and laborious process, they have relatively short lifetimes making them difficult to maintain. LEDs commonly last 4 times longer than HID lamps which reduces the time you spend maintaining your lighting system and money you spend on new lamps!  Integra LED works with a variety of businesses ranging from manufacturers to medical spaces across the Northeast. On average, our customers save up to 70% on lighting cost that shows up directly on their utility bill. If you are interested in saving with LEDs, fill out the short form below!
